Kite Making

Experience

Our first experiential marketing event was a

kite-making booth, held on Main Street at MRU. The kite is an important symbol of freedom in the film SOLD. Students and faculty passing by stopped to make kites and learn about our campaign to end human trafficking. I came up with the design for the kites, organized the purchasing of materials, and led the set-up and tear-down of the booth.

Photo Booth

Experience

The second experiential marketing event was a photo booth. We used the kites that were made in our first event, and created an installation piece as a backdrop for photos. The event was held on Main Street at MRU over two days.  Emails from participants were collected so that branded emails could be sent out, with a personalized invitation to the film SOLD. . We had special guest Paul Brandt join in with the photo booth, as shown here. I designed the booth structure, organized the purchasing of materials, created props and signage, and led the set-up and tear-down of the booth. I took photos of participants with my camera, edited them and aligned them with the corresponding contact information. I sent out the personalized emails with photos one week prior to the film screening, with the help of my creative team.
