Bystander Intervention Literacy Campaign Survey
I created a Bystander Intervention Literacy survey to be handed out at our October 17th and 18th Stand Up. Speak Out. Step In. pop-up museums, as well as at the Stephanson-Cooke Violence Prevention Conference. The survey was designed around the 5 Pillars of Intervening, provided by Mike Dilbeck, who was the keynote speaker at the conference. The survey and our events had a mutually beneficial relationship, in that individuals attracted by the set-up or signage of the event were often persuaded to take our survey. Individuals who began taking the survey and started discussing the questions were often incentivised to enter our pop-up museum. The survey was a very effective tool in gauging the various perceptions of the MRU community in regards to being an active bystander. It was also a valuable tool used to collect email addresses.

Story Content for 5 Pillars of Intervening Story Posters
I wrote the original content for the stories that were applied to the bystander story posters. The bystander story posters played a vital role in the effectiveness of our experience design events. Our October 17th and 18th, Stand Up. Speak Out. Step In. pop-up museums were extremely successful and had over 380 attendees. This was largely due to the buzz created by the posters displayed all across the outside of the museum. The posters depicted full bleed images of victims of varying types of abuse who were subject to situations where bystander intervention could have prevented the violent incident. These images were accompanied by their stories, which discussed the outcomes the victims faced, and how the individuals who stood by could have intervened. Each of these stories directly related to one of the 5 Pillars of Intervening.
