E Campaign

Logo

If Anyone is Exploited, Everyone is Exploited. Everyone, is embodied by the E in this years logo and it emphasizes our unity as a class, campaign, and as a society, in our fight against social injustices. It was important that the logo incorporate elements of our partner’s Buckspring brand through the application of colour and font selection while still representing the four individual events within the campaign. The constellations represent the connection between the four events coming together as

one campaign and the ways in which all of our social issues are intertwined. In addition, the constellations depict the relationship between social issues experienced both locally and globally. We all look at the same stars no matter where we are in the world, just from different perspectives.

I designed this cover for our campaign plan book. It was the first visual branding that we did for our campaign. Although we refined the colours after this, all of the graphics were taken from this design and implemented into the rest of our campaign. For example, the kite was

an important visual element throughout our campaign and it’s repetition from this point forward made it an icon for our campaign.

The kite was a significant symbol for freedom

in the movie and Stephanie mimicked this in

her creation of the kites incorporated in our experience designs. The patterned banner, created by Jason, was taken from the layout inside of the book and used to create continuity between content and visuals. The Calgary skyline, juxtaposed with the hand and kite are representative of bringing the SOLD story to Calgary. It is also meant to show that human trafficking is an issue that happens both abroad and here in Calgary. As such, this visual epitomizes all the elements that helped shape our campaign and were reused to develop our

brand identity.
